The SturdiBag™ Large size has been tested to safely carry up to 40 pounds, but is most suitable for all cats and most small to medium breed dogs up to 25 pounds. Dog breeds such as Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Jack Russell Terriers travel comfortably in this size carrier.

Tips: Purchase your carrier at least several months in advance of your travel if possible.  Assemble the carrier and put it on the floor so your pet can discover it on his or her own time.  Never force your pet into the carrier.  While your pet is inside the carrier, offer lots of praise and a treat if appropriate. Repeat this positive reinforcement as often as possible while your pet adapts to the carrier. 

Once comfortable in the carrier, zip the door closed and carry it around the house with your pet inside. When you put the carrier down, offer more praise.  Take your pet for a car ride in the carrier (use the seat belt straps) without ending up at the vet!
